Smart Marketing Goals for 2018
1) Make a Marketing Calendar – something we all should do right now. Write down specific ways you plan to market your company for each month. Most businesses fluctuate seasonally, so use your knowledge of your company’s patterns and plan to market accordingly.
2) Review and Revise – look through the marketing tactics that you used this year. What worked? What didn’t? Drop the ways that didn’t work or cost more than they returned. Add a new method to replace the ones you stop, and keep up with the ones that are working well.
3) Start that blog – or newsletter or whatever method you feel comfortable with, that will include great content to help Google direct people to you.
4) Plan to increase social marketing – it’s one of the simplest ways to market ourselves – and rarely do companies devote a consistent amount of time to it. If you managed one post a month last year, aim for at least 2 posts per month this year!
BOTTOM LINE: It’s a new year coming! It’s time to try new things, make new goals, and strive to do at least one thing better than you did this year -now let’s get started!
